The Therapy Collective was co-founded in 2019 by Chayne Anderson, MA MFT, Megan Hedglen, LPC, and Pamela Skovira, MA MFT.
Throughout our years working in the mental health field, we have extensive experience in various settings.
While a big agency can be ideal for certain populations, we wanted to provide a more private and personal experience for our clients.
Some of the ways we have achieved this include: development of a small team of therapists dedicated to meeting the clients' needs, a warm, private environment, and a variety of ways to pay,
including affordable self-pay options.
We have strategically located in West Newton, Pa to provide services to the surrounding areas in need. We believe in client growth as much as community growth.
Overall, our main goal is to avoid big agency limitations while continuing to provide intimate and personalized treatment.

Clients will work one-on-one with either a male or female therapist. While in this setting, clients will collaborate with their therapist to set treatment goals for themselves that focus on their unique and personal needs. Individual treatment often focuses on mental health concerns, including: anxiety, depression, and trauma. However, our therapists are motivated to provide treatment for different populations with diverse needs. Your therapist will help you to determine your best options for treatment after meeting with them.
Working with one of our Marriage and Family Therapists, two people involved in a romantic relationship will participate in treatment to manage concerns in their relationship. At times, more than one therapist will be involved in the treatment to help balance the environment. The couple will collaborate with the therapist(s) present to develop an appropriate structure, as well as review goals for treatment that are tailored to the specific couple. Couples therapy is not just designed for married couples! Treatment commonly addresses concerns in relationships, including: financial concerns, communication, parenting, sex, infidelity, families of origin, co-parenting, and ongoing conflict.
Children and teens need services tailored to their developmental needs and stages. Children and teens have a different set of challenges than adults and need specialized care to develop trust and a safe therapeutic relationship. As adults, many of us struggle to communicate our thoughts and feelings, its not always an easy task. Now, plop yourself into the shoes of your child or teen. It is easy to see how it might be easy to get lost in the shuffle, especially in the world we live in right now. Child therapists equipped to work with the younger population, as they’ve acquired the necessary experience to understand how their young minds work and been trained accordingly. And, more importantly, how to best help them. These professionals break down the given problem in a way that’s easier to understand, discuss, and address. One of the ways we create a safe place and educate children is through Play Therapy. Children utilize play to understand their world...and we meet them here for therapy! This helps them communicate their needs, struggles, concerns, and fears and our trained therapist will know what to look for to put this to use. Often, with children, The Therapy Collective encourages parents to be involved (when possible and safe) so that therapy can be more successful. Our goal is to educate you, the parent, as well. Teens are given the opportunity to open up in safety, without their parents. We observe concern and confidentiality for your teen while we work to make sure they are safe, growing and learning along the way. The categories below help break down common needs and therapeutic focus based on age. Toddlers (1-3 years): Here, common concerns like developmental delays or disruptive behaviors, with parent participation and play therapy techniques are a large emphasis. Kids (3-13 years): Common concerns like learning disorders and anxiety, using hands-on activities as well as age appropriate verbal communication and some parental education and involvement if necessary. Teens (13-18 years): Address bullying, depression, social pressures, stress, and more — with counselors providing coping tools as well as unbiased guidance and support. We maintain confidentiality while emphasizing safety for your teenager. Common themes and focus of child and teen centered therapy include but are not limited to:

Group Therapy is typically facilitated by one or more therapists who are working with several people at the same time.
